Investments, consolidation, expansion, development, optimization and sustainability: these are the key words that guide the choices of LPM.Group.
Since 2020, the global scenario has become more complicated and new difficulties have been added to the everyday challenges. However, the new context has not changed the strategies of LPM.Group, aimed at the growth of the group and sustainable development.
2022 in particular represents a year of important changes for the group, first and foremost the relocation of the 3 Bologna plants of the Protection division to a new single production site of 17.500 m40.000 on an area of 4.0 mXNUMX. The strategic choice of centralizing the different process phases in a single production site will allow production to be optimized, making it more efficient, also thanks to the investments already made and those planned during the year for the renewal and strengthening of the latest-generation and XNUMX-logic machinery fleet.
Thanks to the new organizational structure and with the help of new technologies, a better integration of processes will be possible, which will translate into greater production efficiency.
The optimization is not only aimed at productivity but also at the sustainability of processes. The new headquarters and the new organization will in fact allow a significant reduction in environmental impacts.
LPM.Group has always given great importance to environmental issues, confirmed by the recent renewal of the 14001:2015 certification and by the execution last year of the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) analysis of products and packaging, which allows to obtain an initial environmental profile of the products themselves with the life cycle approach, in order to compare the solutions with a lower environmental impact, declare and communicate the environmental and social performances.
Continuing on this path of certification of LPM.Group's sustainable commitments, the first Sustainability Report will be drawn up in 2022, the report illustrating the Group's performance with reference to the broader theme of sustainability. The document is aimed at all stakeholders and communicates the commitments and results made in the context of Corporate Responsibility.
