OMSO, a historic company from Reggio Emilia, now a leader in the production of container decoration machines, has chosen LPM.Group to supply the Servojet machine protections.
OMSO has been synonymous with container decoration machines for over 70 years and was recently included by the Ministry of Economic Development in the special register of historic brands of national interest. Since 1952, OMSO has been designing and producing high-tech machines for direct printing on objects and containers of varying shapes and sizes, reaching the top of the sector today.
To create the fairing of the Servojet, an innovative machine for digital printing on different types of containers, OMSO chose the expertise of LPM.Group.

The comparison with the customer is always of fundamental importance to achieve the goal of creating a functional, safe and aesthetically appealing protection.
The requirement expressed by OMSO consisted in making the protection an integral part of the machine, with aesthetic features that would enhance the technology of the machine itself.
The focal point of the fairing should have been the accesses, to ensure operability combined with functionality, always in compliance with safety regulations.
Together with the various OSMO departments, the materials and aesthetics needed to create a fairing that would differentiate the Servojet from the first visual impact were defined. Below is a list of the materials and processes used:
- Load-bearing frame in silver anodized structural section 45X45 and 90X45.
- Load-bearing hinges to ensure greater stability of the openings during use.
- Upper doors in thermoformed plastic material to follow the shape of the machine and with application of anti-UV film to make the protection compliant with the technical specifications of the color drying system.
- Lower area with frameless sheet metal doors, opened by key locks to make the area an integral part of the machine.
- Handles in silver anodized aluminum profile.
- Upper area painted according to OMSO company marketing specifications.
- Provision for micro switches.
- Internal sheets able to give continuity to the machine table, to make the protection an integral part of the machine itself.
